Seeking to capture the tension between eternity and oblivion, suggestions of the landscape provide sites for the contemplation of human experience.
The painter is often not the best voice to explain the work; expression strays – and the artist and viewer see the work against different experiential backgrounds. The images here attempt to capture a broad perspective, portraying life as a fleeting moment caught between the grandeur of eternity and the void of annihilation. They are landscapes in the broadest sense – portraits that reveal interior landscapes rather than only outward appearances.

These paintings attempt to depict a singular human experience. But, at the same time, the hope is that they will resonate with the experiences of others.
